Nathan Bong, Engineer & Content Creator at Progressive Automations, Progressive Desk, handles the creation and revision of technical content such as articles, datasheets, user manuals, technical videos, and case studies. As a graduate of BCIT, he has an academic background in electrical and computer engineering while also having hands-on experience of working with electrical equipment and tools. His most recent project is an exoskeleton robotic arm using Progressive Automations linear actuators and flashlight attachments. His passion is to make a positive impact on society through technology such as by informing his audience and helping to improve linear motion technology with Progressive Automations. Outside work, he likes going out with his friends for lunch, board games, and movies. He also enjoys gym workouts, making DIY linear actuator projects, detailing his car, and adding car mods!

Participation in conferences, seminars, presentations, etc

Nathan has been part of a few COMM panel presentations at BCIT for graduated students since November 16th, 2022 to talk to new students about job searching advice, his current job, and discuss career opportunities after graduating from school. He was also a guest speaker for A&I Student Night at BCIT on February 7th, 2023 to give advice, recommendations, and more industry knowledge to students. Since September 2023, he has presented in a few tutorial sessions with the BCIT Robotics Club.
